Chrystal Lemley is an occupational therapy assistant with an associate degree from Keiser University. A native of Okeechobee in Central Florida, Chrystal joined the FOCUS Fort Myers Therapy team in May 2018.
She was first drawn to the field of occupational therapy after traumatic injuries she sustained in a high school car accident that necessitated therapy.
“I went through therapy and realized that I wanted to help others live their lives to the fullest,” Lemley said. “…No matter what the disability or diagnosis, I enjoy creating unique and adaptive interventions to best fit the needs of every child.”
She began her career in a skilled nursing facility, caring primarily for patients who were elderly and/or infirm. With children, though, she revels in the opportunity to see each child light up, grow, excel, advance. Facilitating progress with the potential to positively impact each patient’s future.
At FOCUS, Chrystal says she’s found a unique work environment with a tight-knit yet welcoming therapists embracing an interdisciplinary, creativity-oriented approach.
When she’s not treating patients at FOCUS, Chrystal enjoys exploring new places and taking road trips with her husband, enjoying the outdoors, working out or practicing yoga, cooking healthy meals – and catching brilliant Florida sunsets.
