Amy Morrell is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a degree earned from the University of St. Augustine in 2010 after acquiring her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida in 2003. She joined the FOCUS Fort Myers physical therapy team in 2018.

Morrell’s love of physical therapy was cultivated at a young age, shadowing her aunt – also a pediatric physical therapist – from the time she was small in Kansas City, MO. She was drawn to Southwest Florida for her first physical therapy position at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Specialty Care.

In the course of her career as a Fort Myers physical therapist, Morrell has treated adults and children, and has special interest and skill working with people who have sustained orthopedic injuries, toe-walkers and individuals who use wheelchairs.

“When you work with children, they’re happy – they don’t see the challenges” Morrell said. “They don’t complain. Children are incredibly resilient. Build a child up – and they will GO.”

At FOCUS, Morrell said, she’s found a positive, family-friendly atmosphere that allows her a healthy work-life balance.
