Jennifer Voltz-Ronco, Fort Myers pediatric therapy clinic owner

MS/CCC-SLP, Owner/ Founder

Voltz-Ronco is the owner and founder of J Kru Therapy, LLC dba FOCUS.  She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees of science in speech language pathology at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. Following graduation, she sought a change of scenery from the Midwest and moved to Southwest Florida in 2004. She began her career as a speech language pathologist serving adult patients in skilled nursing facilities and home health settings across Lee County. After welcoming her first son, her focus shifted to helping children and she took on a role as a pediatric speech therapist for the Lee County School District.

Voltz-Ronco has helped facilitate remarkable strides working with children and adults with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), language impairments, traumatic brain injuries, swallowing/feeding disorders, articulation disorders and cognitive impairments.  In addition to being the owner of FOCUS, she is passionate about advocating for these children and their families – whether it’s to insurers or legislators or in school district IEPs. Voltz-Ronco has been featured in local news broadcast and print features on issues of critical importance to children with disabilities and delays in South Florida, including publication of an editorial in FloridaWeekly.

Her area of special interest is apraxia of speech. She maintains close relationships with several children with childhood apraxia of speech and is proud to have significantly helped advance their communication skills.

In 2011, she established J Kru Therapy, LLC and co-founded SPOT Therapy Associates. The practice was soon thriving. Steadily increasing demand ultimately necessitated expansion.

Voltz-Ronco branched out on her own and founded FOCUS in 2016.

FOCUS stands for, “Follow Our Course Until Successful.”  It is a mindset as well as a mission. Our pediatric therapists develop close personal relationships with each and every one of our patients and their families.  We believe this is the foundation of success in therapy. Our positive ethos is fueled by our concentration on what CAN be achieved rather than what can NOT be achieved.  It is our privilege daily to assist children on the rewarding journey to better communication, independent function, higher achievements in school and a more fulfilling life.

My mission in life is not merely to survive but to thrive, and to do so with some passion, some compassion, sense of humor and some style.” ~ Maya Angelou
